altSkipper was surrendered by his family at the age of 9.  He lived outdoors where his job was to protect the yard.  Because of his life being mostly outdoors, he came with a number of ailments that the Cindi Mysyk Fund was able to help address.  The big thing was that he was heartworm positive and responded well to treatment.  He also had a dental, weak hips, eye infection, dry eye, diarrhea, skin issues.  With much TLC and training from his foster family, he was able to get stronger and learn to enjoy life as an indoor companion.
